Islam, like many other religions, at its very foundation, has an aversion to pleasure. That is what leads to true evil. Pleasure is the beauty of life. It is meant to be enjoyed, and that means everything that goes with it. This way of life was lost in the Near East after the floods some 12,000 years ago. The arabs have been fighting ever since.

Look at your first replies, you talked about pleasure even before I mention anything about STDs, and since sexual pleasure is the only kind of pleasure that has its restrictions in Islam that's why I assumed you were talking about it. DUDE, can you not follow a conversation properly? I mention pleasure and you mention sexual diseases, as if all pleasure is sexual. I was pointing out your error of reasoning.

There is no doubt that the arabs WERE the most brilliant people on the planet. That changed after the floods, when they determined that technology is what caused the floods. Technology was abandoned in lieu of religion. I have spoke with muslims that know this. CIRCUMCISION IS STUPID!!!!

Why do you assume that a person who believes in God can't watch movies, have fun with his family or enjoy his profession? Wasn't it our Islamic civlization what actually created the modern form of most sciences, logic and modern philosophy that people are happily enjoying now? I am for example a Muslim, a computer engineering grad, a game developer, I watch movies and read novels but I'm still thankful to God. Hurting others isn't what religion preaches, it's mostly because of political reasons.

Oh, you think all pleasure is sexual pleasure? I get pleasure from my job, spending time with my daughter, watching movies, etc. etc. Every experience in life either causes pain or pleasure. So, if it doesn't cause pleasure, then it must cause pain. When those who have a fear of pleasure, the get their pleasure by hurting others.
