The Byrds - My back pages (1966)

A deep song that connects with the past.. at least I think so (but it will mean different things to different people..I don't know the composers full meaning..) The video may be a blast in the past...

The pics are nostalgic.. mostly 60's era, of which time the song was composed by the legendary and awe inspiring song-writer Bob Dylan!

Please go easy on me with this one lol.. as I was trying out a new feature and couldn't get a couple slides to stop sticking, and the timing is not right on.. but I got tired of working on it.. and didn't want to start all over again! (this was not my first attempt! lol) I hope you enjoy it anyways.. its my favorite Byrds song :)

The song is actually 3:09 in length, but this feature of film style with frames.. had an intro and ending, making it a few seconds longer.

At 22 and headed for VietNam on a chartered TWA flight this song was on the music program. I had heard some of the Byrds' music but not this one. I did make it back safely one year later and now when I hear this song it brings tears to my eyes. It holds a special place in my memories of the events and people I came in contact with during my "tour" of 'Nam.

@TheGriffonr I'm as few years younger than you and,as a result,I became "of age" when things were winding down in SE Asia.I joined up but was never sent there.I know what you mean about the military and memories...particularly music memories.There are songs that *still* bring back very unhappy memories of,say,BCT.
