As a total layman to the piano (only some years at Dr. Hoch's conservatory in Frankfurt...) - Bach being my favorite composer, of course - I find that this highly talented pianist has a more of a hispanic rather than Mr. Schiff's highly (by me) appreciated, at least in tendency, more of a... say: bohemian-hungarian, if there's such an expression, style of tackling the stylistic challenges, which I find to be an altogether very interesting situation; especially on Bach!

Buy the whole DVD!!! Learn about dangerous snakes, crucifixion cries, and the colors of the rainbow, and their relation to "relatively monumental" movements of the second Partita. I don't regret my purchase...superb entertainment by the Schiff.
