It is fast fast fast but but unreliable once you run a render jobs on que that will consume about 16 hours then the signal integrity from the RAM will fail (no wonder here as there is no ECC or Buffering); so speed is good for a short time.
#2 if you run professional demanding application that will be used regularly for months then the mobo will die in 6 months due to overheating.
I will pick mac pro over any imac for professional work.

iv just try'd it on my macbook pro 15 inch 2.53 ghz 2008 model it got 3554 on it

that imac got a really good score because of its i7 processor that thing is ace but this geekscore program doesnt count in graphics speed which is really important for gamers

2 years later, a 2011 21.5 baseline imac gets the same scores

I wonder if the score would be higher if you turned on the 64 bit kernel?
I turn on the 64 bit kernel on all the Macs I set up and there is a noticeable difference.
