  • Brilliant in articulation, depth and hope!

  • in the midst of the media circus that's gone down in the wake of michael's death, i'm glad somebody's looking at the tremendous mess that was made of this beautiful child's life and saying: "okay, what have we learned here...?" that is really the only response we can have to this particularly american tragedy. thank you, sir, and well done.

  • "Dance You into the Sunlight"...where to begin. This young man's genius for alternate, and often humorous diversive and radical ruminations is stunning. I find myself laughing through tears, sobbing through comedy when he speaks. This one is particularly trenchant. My youngest child was "born on film": videotaped so much that her first destination when she first walked, was to toddle over to me, grab the lens cap with her chubby hands, and attempt to place it on the lens. Lesson learned.

  • The reason we always rely on you to say something though is because anyone can do it. Anyone here can do speak on camera with intelligence and confidence, if they tried, but no one will be able to do it like you can. You know?

  • Everyone is still trying to find that as celebrities. The thing is that whenever you are a celebrity, you are either treated like some sort of Godly lifeform or an alien, mostly because in the cameras, they don't feel like you and me. There is something about the camera that makes people think with the idea that you are much more special than us because you can do stuff in ways we really can't. It feels a lot like living vicariously through the body of one talented person. (shrugs)

  • @scribegurl It's funny because Polanski ACTULLY did something to that girl AND NEVER spend a minute in jail.In fact he left the country .Jackson on the other hand was blackmailed by a familly in 93 for money.Jackson refused to give them cash, they went to the media. if Jackson was gulity of anything, i believe he would have given them the money BEFORE the whole thing became known to everyone. I think you should really learn the facts before you open your mouth.

  • Some interesting points. Agree MIchael showed love like no-one else & the mixed blessings of the media. I also believe because he didn't get the love he needed as a child, he was looking for love as an adult. Don't we all? He looked for it from his fans but he also said he knew he had to find it elsewhere personally. He also found it through charity work. I don't believe Michael did anything ugly to others, such as any pedophile acts, if that's what you're implying.

  • Powerful...

  • so what your trying to say is we are still human after all

  • @scribegurl Ok. Let me give you a little history into Michael and the media. It has been proved repeatedly that Michael didn't do anything to those boys, and that it was obvious that the parents were just looking for a quick buck. The media jumped on the story because Michael will sell papers and make people watch. The media don't give a damn if what they are saying is true or not, they just want you to watch and will do anything to grab your attention.

  • Well said..."Not about the cameras"...Still, one has to know when to stop. At some point the blame can't be placed on everyone/everything/anything else.
