Exellent my friend. Ningishzidda as we know is in fact Thoth. Marduk his brother, when it became his time to rule kicked Thoth out and took over in Egypt as Ra. To my way of thinking Ea/Enki & Ningishzidda/Thoth are the most important to mankind. If they do return, we must pray that they are in charge and not Enlil or his offspring. Enlil tried on several occasions to distroy mankind and is not above doing it again. Although the envoy that came and appeared in Enki's dream may not allow it.

He says the real reason was to make monotomic gold for consumption which gives psychic abilities, and is supposed to extend life. That may be the reason why Enki did not want Adapa to eat the bread (manna) or drink the "elixer" into which they mixed it.

it doesn't ever say they are immortal,what it does say it gives them a long life,a very long life,it would have made him live a much longer life than his fellow beings,making him different.
