@dammitdarrell that's an annoyingly accurate portrayal of wirewrap... kinda feels less legit now.

That is so much work

Awesome project: might buy an FPGA too, once I'm sufficiently skilled with micros :)

Dear dammitdarrell,
I wish to ask a you a few questions that will help me and some of my friends,
I wish to know some info about the ECE 102 course you took,
1) Which year did you take it. (which term too)
2) Was it the first Digital course you took?
3) The ratio between the information you already knew, and the information you looked for yourself, to be able to build your project
Thanks alot.

@eladin123 This is a first semester freshmen class for ECE. I had many programing (C,Java,Assembly) classes in my previous CS major so I had some experience with this genreal area. The ECE digital class was more in depth then the CS. I had a basic idea of what I needed to do: controller, display, and game logic. However once I got down to the details, a lot was trial and error and research on the internet was required. The main thing is to divide up the problem and get one bit working at a time.

Great work. How long did it take to implement the project?

@Meloman0001 I would guess I spent 10-15 hours on the board and 30-50 hours on the programing, spread out over couple months. The circuit board is all wire-wrap which my GF calls "crochet for nerds."
