KPS GILL effigy burned by NSUI President,Punjab University chandigarh by APS MANN

PU Students under the leadership of party's PU campus president Amarpreet Singh Mann to protest against the recent expose of shameless corruption in the selection of hockey players.

NSUI activists raised slogans against K.P.S. Gill and burned his effigy after beating it up with hockey sticks.

The students were of the view that the recent incidents have brought shame and lowered the morale of our hockey players and sports lovers. "Due to such acts, the upcoming players are demoralised and they don't dare to take part in such games", they said in unison.

Mann said it was due to the misdeeds of corrupt persons like Gill and Kumaran that India could not even qualify for the Olympics, while it has been a world champion of the sport for a long time. Maninder Singh Mandy, vice-president of NSUI PU campus unit, demanded for criminal prosecution against Gill and Kumaran.
Gagandeep Singh also called upon Gill to take the moral responsibility and step down from the prestigious office of the head of the Indian Hockey Federation
