Camp Casey

This video documents some of the events at Camp Casey in Crawford, Texas (August, 2005). Camp Casey can be viewed as a peace rally, but more than that, it was part of Cindy Sheehan's efforts to ask George W. Bush, "for what noble cause did her son die?" The song writer in this piece also poses a question to our leaders, "if our sons and daughters must die in this illegal war in Iraq, why not their sons and daughters?"

I came five feet close to telling Cindy Sheehan what she meant to me. I'll forever regret it thinking she was just too important and too busy. We who live the rest of our lives with a hole in our hearts are soulmates and I'm sure that's all she needed to know before we would have adopted each other.
