Segunda entrega de la rueda de prensa de Hans Zimmer en Madird, en esta ocasión hablando de su trabajo para "La delgada línea roja" ("The Thin Red Line")
Yes, he definitely sings a minor 3rd, C# to E like the previous poster said. Now I think that you need to realise that Hans is not a singer, so he doesn't necessarily have a perfectly tuned voice, but he essentially does sing C# to E nonetheless, although the way he sings that 3rd is verging a bit between E and F, that is why it may seem a major 3rd to some, but it is a minor 3rd. Anyway there is no need to debate so much about it, people make mistakes.
Hans Zimmer is one of the best Soundtrack Composers ever; I studied music(piano most) since I was 7 so but I cannot say that if you sing wrong an interval you're cursed or something this. It's not about the very genius in music theory but the very genius in musical imagination, embedding the right music in the movie, as he does. WHEN YOU BECOME LIKE HIM(a great composer) THEN JUDGE. TILL THEN, SHUT UP!
he actually sang a mayor 3rd... great to see how the people who we admire so much are also humans that commit errors like us, hehe... very nice video, Zimmer rocks!!
Only a composer can understand..?? Minor thirds?!!!! DUD-
C to E-flat = a minor third! C to G = perfect cadence! BASIC COMPOSITION fundamentals people! STOP kissing so much ass!!!! GOOD GRIEF!!!! Any little 'new' thing amazes imbeciles who have no education and/or knowledge. Enough is enough already! Get off your lazy asses and learn something! Good Grief....
Pretty sure he sang a major 3rd. He sang from C# to E# (en-harmonically it would be C# to F, which would be a diminished 4th)
Not taking a credibility from him though. He's a brilliant composer and a scholar!

Oh my gosh! To shut all of you up who think it's a major 3rd. He sings a C# to an E. This interval is clearly a minor 3rd. 0:40

Can't believe in 3 months no one corrected the previous poster! In this interview Hans sings a Minor 3rd.
Surprised he mentioned "breaks every rule you learn at music school" tho when I always heard he was self-taught..
