Very cool videos! I also have raised beds as well, I built them last winter. Tried some potatoes as a trial this past fall. I didn't put them in a box like that, but that sure is a great idea! its fun to build stuff like that! I don't like tomato cages, so I'm trying something different this year for those. Loved the funky music too.. sounds almost like the Doors!
I couldn't wait, i just started sprouting my broccoli and cabbage for this spring.. lol Happy New Year!

@HomesteadAcres We will be adding a blog and forum page for those who want to join in. Will be able to post and embed videos direct into the forum as well. A great avenue to co-ordinate and share information... much faster and more streamlined way to communicate rather than using YT for that. The videos are an awesome way to show people, but as most would know, a threaded conversation via a forum is just easier. :) Keep up to date... that is to come soon.

@HomesteadAcres Yes, we just got the box done and actually just getting the square foot raised beds made, this is a change from our row garden from last year. We decided this year that we would make a change and share our experience with the world and start posting this all to YouTube to help others. :)

Curious, Why did you not fill the box higher with soil? Trying to learn this but i dont understand why so deep in the box?

@TheDuckseason When you plant them you let them grow up about 6" then bury them again and repeat over and over until the box is full. Then just wait it out. What will happen is the greenery will die off and go brown and crusty. That is when you should harvest. Empty the entire box. This method gives you a higher yield as it encourages more potatoes to grow. -Randy
