as silly as it may sound i would like some kind of etheral to unify humanity to stop our pointless disputes wars,hunger, destruction of the planet to be selfless and to act for the greater good of humanity not just yourself imagine if the whole world was acting together we would've colonized the mily way by now

in the end, Tau are the only good race in 40k, they didnt have reason to kill any other, even more, they have no problem of you joining their forces

@commander7890 You misunderstand me or I misread what you wrote, but I don't think Tau has anything to do with communism. To me they are utilitarian, but as I told another person here, not 'pure' utilitarian.

Still though, you're right, the tau are most definitely communist, and the Imperium does have a lot of Stalin and Hitler in it.

However the tau have many etherials that are all powerful over the other castes therefor making the tau empire one of the more succsessful totalitarian regimes

then again, people who compare the tau to communists.... really don't know what communism is. they think they do, but really, they dont.

I must protest. If you compare the Tau Empire to USSR you will only find very broad similarities. Both are totalitarian, but where USSR had their single leader, the Tau have a whole caste with leaders.
What makes the Tau Empire stand out from any society in human history is their utilitarianism. Also, the Tau value the individual's life, the USSR did not.
One could say something like this:
Japan + Buddhism + Utilitarianism = The Tau Empire
Stalinism + Hitlerism = The Imperium
