Hi. My name is Ken Ketterer and I am on a quest. A quest for fun. John Hughes passing has, again, made me realize life is short and unknowing. So, I will make this short. I am an unknown screenwriter looking to make "National Lampoon's Wedding Vacation". I have a script completed (with many, many rewrites..),dialogue, setting, scenes, complete ideas with a beginning, middle and ending. I need pointed in the right direction. if you can seriously (or just want to make comments) help in this project, please contact me through this posting. This is the real crazy part, I would be like to cast all original members from the 1983 movie (Have you seem Dana Barron (Audrey) lately? She is still gorgeous! or imagine Jane Krakowski (Cousin Vicki) as one of the strippers at the bachelor party.

Basic idea: Clark Griswold's (Chevy Chase) daughter Audrey (Dana Barron) is getting married. In the great Griswold style, Clark, being the father of the bride, is pulling out all the stops for the wedding of his little girl. With a week to go before the big day, Clark, along with his Boss, Mr. Frank Shirley (Brian Doyle-Murray) who just so happens to be the father of the groom to be, is forced into early retirement. Let the hilarity begin!
Scenes:
*The big announcement
*The letting go of Clark
*Clark looking for part time work
*Ellen (Beverly D'Angelo) looking for part time work
*The homecoming of Rusty (Anthony Michael Hall) with his significant other...
*Clark purchases a GPS from Ed Shohet (Eugene Levy)
and to save money, Clark installs it himself.
*Cousin Eddie (Randy Quaid) and family arrives
*Eddie introduces Clark to Vigara
*bachelor party
*bachelorette party
*Wedding party-one side of the church misfit family members of the Griswolds. Other half, rich/upper class sobs the Shirleys.
and so on...

Well, sorry, but that wasn't very short at all, was it?

But, thanks for listening and I hope you would like to hear more...Ken

  • @youtubeken sounds good, as a Canadian i'd like to see a Canadian Vacation, we don't get enuff respect here.....could be a bunch of 18 y/o's going to Montreal to party it up.....or the Griswald's having another disastrous vacation!

  • That actually sounds like one part American Wedding and one part Father Of the Bride with Steve Martin. I am a huge hughes fan and dont think he could have pulled off an original script for this. Wedding cliches have been done to death. My advice write something original and become the new John Hughes.
