Nicely done - 2,000 views and more! Thank you to everyone who gave it a watch!

I'm thrilled that this video's had such a positive response from viewers and hope that it helps people with NLD realise that they are not alone :]

This is just a little something I put together at school and at home...as a kid with NLD myself I thought it might be nice to make more people aware of how tricky it is to get on in the world when your brain's wired differently...

Tell me what you think! I'd appreciate any feedback :)

  • I have it, too. It's nice to see something up about it from us young people! I travelled all the way to Canada to go to a school called Arrowsmith which turned my LIFE around! I still have my dumb LDdays, as I call 'em, but I'm doing much better. We NLD-ers are "one in a million", very special guys and gals. We have to put up a strong front and stick together. I wrote poetry to help myself too and got to read it at Arrowsmith where everyone got each other. This made my heart ache with

  • @Tinkrulez Aww, that's so sweet. I'm a poet myself - although I just write for the sheer joy of it. That said, I do have some works based on my troubles with the condition - this included!

I wish you many more happy years and I'm glad you liked the video.

  • ik exactilly how u feel, i have nld 2 and as a child i was always made fun of or people would ask me " do u really have this" but the school i reclenty graduated from was a great school for kids with learning disbilties!!!!

  • @purplegal597 Aww, I'm so glad you managed to get some form of support in the end! It was annoying for me being perceived as different and not a lot of people really seemed to like "different". It's good to know that there are plenty of people out there who share your situation as it's easier to relate to them than to some counsellor or whatever!

  • @RetardedGenius93 it is easier than some counselor! And yes, I mainly write becuase I loveeee it but sometimes because of NLD. Speaking of which, is there an NLD forum or group on here? LDonline has great stuff like that.

  • @Tinkrulez I agree with you there! I may not have a PhD in anything but at least I understand, eh? *winks* And none that I'm aware of, but I'll have a look.

  • Thank's for posting this video, it's nice for young people to post things like this, I just found out I had Non Verbal Learning Disorder too and this really helped me a lot. Kudos to you! :)

  • OMG THIS VIDEO SAVED MY LIFE, I WAS REALLY DEPRESSED BECAUSE NOBODY UNDERSTADS ME AND I WAS PLANNING ON KILLING MYSELF :( BUT NOW I KNOW OTHER PEOPLE HAVE IT TOOO!!! YOU SAVED MY LIFE RETARDEDGENIUS I LOVE YOU

  • @aussiemumism Ignorance? Not at all! I feel so flattered, I am only a student, but feel very aged sometimes because of the knowledge I've had to acquire due to the disadvantages of this disorder...

    And yes.

Assumption is correct. Once again some people will be classed as "something-something-NOS(Not Otherwise Specified). I love psychology, but sometimes this field is nutso!

Anyway...hope it helped! (Sorry for the late reply, but school and ballet take up tons of time...). n_n

  • @Tinkrulez Please forgive my ignorance :) but..... do you mean the DSM is removing Asperger's as a Mental Disorder? Or was that bit part of your replying definition??? I truly dont mean to come off nasty or condesending... I am a mum of ASD son & I'm very aware of the varied difficulties faced by ALL those effected, everyday. Just trying to confirm if my assumption is correct.

  • @Tinkrulez Oh Okay. So then it isn't Aspergers and probably not autism, right? Can it negatively affect one for life or can it be overcome?

  • @somotastic21 Oh, sorry. Diagnostic and Statistical Manual, used in Psychology for diagnoses. n_n

  • @Tinkrulez DSM?

  • @somotastic21 Neither, I believe. It is under the Autism Spectrum umbrella, so it is v. confusing. But it is not as intense as Aspergers or Autism. No less painful, though! The DSM is taking out Asperger's!!!!!!

  • I seem to not have finished here, so maybe I didn't see the "reply" button, lol!

  • @Tinkrulez they said it's under the aspergers umbrella and borders on autism. So does this mean that NLD people are aspies or are autistic?
