Can this be used on a entertainment setup for backup power when power goes out for a brief
moment? Meaning TV,cable box ( from cable company), PS3,stereo receiver.
I know for computers and montiors it will work but what about the other items i
mentioned.

Music is a bad idea. It could get your video stripped of all audio for copyright violations. It also likely attributed to your constant pauses.

Hi, could you please tell me if a UPS like this makes any noticable noise during normal operation? I imagine they have to have some sort of cooling with small fans which tend to be rather noisy.
I'm thinking it doesn't make much sense to invest time and money in buying a new computer with silent components if I'd have to put up with something like that.

@JD12ish The two units I have are silent when on stand-by (powered on but not on battery). And when on battery they make a slight buzz. I believe they just have passive cooling heatsink fins inside.
