Well they were only out by 10 years with Malcolm Rifkind on their prediction with him losing his seat.

Neil Kinnock and Margaret Thatcher leaving their homes for their counts.
It must have been an insult to injury when Labour realised they would be getting nowhere near 261 seats.
Unlike 1983, there was too much unnecessary waffle and a completely wrong forecast at the start. The 1987 programme began too soon.
