I just bought a pair three days ago just for the hell of it. I normally run in Saucony Kinvara's, which are relatively similar in design, and racing flats. I first went out in them yesterday for an easy 5-mile run and it turned into 6-mile tempo run because they felt so good. Today, I did 800m intervals and they just feel fantastic. I never thought Brooks would nail it in the minimal category and they did just that with the PureConnect. For those with wide feet, go up 1/2 a size or so.
What do you think of the Vibram five fingers, do you have a pair and if not are you willing to try them and give us your thoughts on the vibrams compared to the pure connect?
Great review. I just bought a pair and they hug my feet like nothing I have ever felt before. The arch support is excellent. I feel connected to the road and still feel cushioned. I am not sure how all that is possible at the same time. Thanks for the review.
