@sequoiadendron5 Hi, In answer to your question, If you like the un-syncopated sound of James Brown in that era, you would also dig Dyke and the Blazers. Check out "We got more soul" and, of course, Funky Broadway. As far as sax solos, it's not the same style, but I always loved the break in Wilson Picket's land of 1000 dances.
