Obama to Turkey: We are not a Christian nation

President Obama told reporters in Turkey that America is not defined by any one religion. Ive said before that one of the great strengths of the United States is, although, as I mentioned we have a very large Christian population. We do not consider ourselves a Christian nation or a Jewish nation or a Muslim nation. We consider ourselves a nation of citizens who are bound by ideals and a set of values, said the President.

Americans identify the US as a Christian nation (even though I find many of their foreign and domestic policies contradicting the principles of Jesus) and yet many Americans, especially in the media go nuts when they talk about how a predominantly Islamic country elects a Muslim party into office. The US is and has always been a hypocrite.

@Toxologie That's an unkind thing to say. We can disagree with President Obama without using unwholesome, vulgar language. You hardly uphold the claim about the U.S. being a Christian nation when you sound ugly.

I am a Christian, but if I were not a Christian and I read your statement, I don't know that I would be attracted to your Christ.
