  • @llandudnoboy You should always check your tire pressure but yeah that's quite good cause you will always have your wallet full :)

  • @Tarikace15

So far the best fuel figure ive achieved was 9.1 Litres of fuel to travel from my home in Llandudno in North Wales to Keswick in Cumbria a journey of 183.2 miles

I didnot actually calculate my economy figure but i was quite happy with that figure

Recently ive purchased a pair of 145/65/15 Continentals to replace the standard front 155/60/15

I will try these out in the Spring.

I want to reach 95mpg or 3Litres of fuel per 100Km

100mpg is asking too much 95 is my dream

  • @llandudnoboy Yeah I got a Smart Fortwo CDi the newest version it's combined is 83.5 mpg(according to the specs)but I remember mine doing a whooping 110 mpg.

  • @llandudnoboy Already sussed that out.

  • @huronlad

He is driving a petrol Smart.

Just check how many digits are on the rev counter.

If he was in his CDi Smart he would have only 5 digits.

I can see 7 digits on this car so its a petrol.

  • @iPedle I should have caught the 7,ooo rpm tach and known it was not a diesel.

  • @huronlad No it is gasoline engine 1.0 because you can clearly read on fueltank Natural 95... so consumption 3,9L/100km is impressive ;-)

  • If I worked this out correctly he averaged 3.9 LHK, not all that impressive in a smart cdi.

  • @MDKmediaDesign

    Likewise

I first read about the Smart ForTwo CDi way back in January 2000 in the Diesel Car magazine and always wanted one because they looked fun and well built.

My boss bought a petrol one three years ago and up until then i had not driven one.

i can remember my first drive I LOVED IT TO BITS.

In March 2010 i took delivery of Charlie a Passion CDi and ive customised him with different coloured panels

I love him to bits and my best fuel consumption is 91mpg

  • Great video, although I hope your sat nav which was on display at 2.17 at the services was there when you returned!
