  • He is getting old and he is ill and not in really good health. So why is it a mystery that he is stepping down or taking it easy?

  • @JBugGamer yep, that is my point vs. the conspiracy theories out there.

  • Sorry but mrbit for being split down the middle with OS. Your getting very emotional about apple... Sorry it's funny to me

  • @coolass222 lol yea i see your point. i am passionate about the topic as many others in tech, the passion drives the emotion.

  • its sad but who care's even if apple's stops making new products and simply updates its current ones it will be fine for about 10 years...just a thought

  • @muk546 true but hard competition gets us better tech by Apple or its competitors.

  • @mrbit10 Are you referring to him being HIV positive?

  • All this 'speculation' about Apple and there future , they think Jobs comes up with these ideas...will it survive....if they dont have 100's of design/market/buisness guys to develop products.

    Codswallop

  • @JamesManes Yeah, that's close. Classic Mac OS did the same thing. That's probably why those ghost files appear when you take some flash drives from a mac over to a pc. Classic Mac Os had its own search feature called Sherlock, before that it had a regular search feature.

  • I doubt Apple will fall, they already have the user base to be sustainable, there share price might fluctuate and Emeek77 will try to do himself in. Steve Jandali is coming up on 60 years old, it is no surprise he his stepping down from a highly stressful position which would be aggravating his cancer.

  • @sc0pl355 It is because of the indexing service OS X provides. It puts spotlight files (hidden ones) on the drive and indexes its contents I think... not for sure but it is just an observation.

  • @TalesOfWar Well, Windows used to nag people too. You're really not supposed to yank a f;ash drive while it is busy. OSX and Classic Mac OS constantly monitors drives when you insert them. Tho, I think OSX server is different in that behavior. Windows kinda takes note of them and looks for the drive again when it needs it.

So, when you insert a drive into a Mac, it's actually being used on some level while the windows drive may only be used when information is needed from it.

  • @TalesOfWar Yeah, they're like Captain Kirk and Scotty.

  • @mrbit10 Nooooooooooo

Don't even joke about that! ;P
