  • pffft she fails at eating them.

  • Kylie Kwong has attempted to break barriers here as the ONLY Asian celebrity chef in a male dominated industry in an English speaking country.Rather than berate an Australian Chinese for lack of 100% Chinese authenticity through no fault of hers; how about praising her for her attempts as a non-Chinese National for promoting Chinese food outside of China and bridging cultural understanding through food?

  • i kept thinking she was saying Japanese, and then i got it, shanghainese...

  • @LePetitGrosse - yes I'm aware of Luke Nguyen [Not so much with Peter Curuvita but I'll definitely look him up]. My point is she's the only [prolific] *female* Asian [Chinese-Australian] chef that I know of and everyone below is giving her shit for her interpretation in Chinese cookery.

  • @selinasma wrong, shes not the ONLY asian chef, try Luke Nguyen, vietnamese, peter curuvita, sri lankan

  • I miss this cooking show I use to watch it every week she's a really good cook and a delight to listen to.

  • @selinasma right on!!!

  • @nunasdreamnz

hold it? with your hands? it's pretty hot. and im pretty sure what im talking about, im half shanghainese

  • @marcusyuguang Not really, hold it, bite the top off and suck the soup out. Not hard.

  • Secondly, calling her a white racist Australian is really harsh. Perhaps slightly ignorant due to lack of research. Turning her nose and refusing smelly tofu isn't being racist. There is a reason why it's called smelly tofu. I'm a 1st generation Chinese Canadian and though I give smelly tofu a go, I find it overpowering myself.
