looks like fun! whats your mpg like? any mods done?

so... If I read that right, this is the 5M with the FD1? I'm considering getting a 'riot but still on the fence for getting the FD2 or FD!. I like the Manual, but my wife (who'll drive it from time to time) prefers the CVT. What's your impression on the CVT?

No mods done yet, but I have plans :P
I don't know what the CVT is like, since I've never driven one. I know the Manual doesn't slip in gear, and I've heard folks mention the CVT slips while in gear on challenging terrain. I wouldn't like that much.

You guys were having too much fun, lol! This was fun to watch. Did you ever feel you needed Freedom Drive II for that trail? I'm in the market for a Patriot and was wondering if the standard 4x4 system was adequate enough.

The FDII is only available in Automatic, and I don't drive manual so the choice was pretty simple. I haven't had any issues with the 5 speed as far as off-roading goes. I haven't gotten stuck, or had any trail problems that the FDII would've solved. The 4x4 is good enough for me.

Its up north of Barrie, ONT. Near the 7th Line of Oro-Medonte on Bass Lake Sideroad.
