Veganism is an ethical choice. It's about rejecting animal exploitation and speciesism. It's not about hating a taste.
I didn't go vegan because I hated the taste of animal products. When I was omni it was MOST of what I ate! I went vegan because I realized that non-human animals are not ours to exploit for our benefit. They aren't commodities or property.

Most people don't believe in killing humans but watch movies simulating so much human murder. But that's all it is, a simulation.
At least soy meat is only imitating a taste, not the brutality of animal exploitation, torture, and slaughter.
Liking a taste has nothing to do with ethical decision to not support animal exploitation.
Most meat-based tastes are also simulated with the use of plant-based herbs, spices, and sauces.

@LOLMAN22: You bring up an interesting point, however I can't help but ask: What difference does it make to you if people choose not to eat meat? I personally find absolutely nothing wrong with eating animals, but refuse to support the abuses and recklessness of industrialized slaughterhouses. The body may not be designed to tolerate a wheat-saturated diet (it definitely isn't), but it isn't designed to tolerate the antibodies & bacteria found in most mass-marketed meat products, either.

@LOLMAN22 You fail at trolling. Good day, sir.

@CuteandCreepy123 First of all any product derived from wheat is bad for the human digestion system and so are beans and lentils. There are many docs, books & studies that point that wheat consumption should be avoided. I am pretty sure eating wheat leads to leptin resistance... Eating a protein rich (animal protein) keeps body full and energetic for a longer period of time. Our ancestors ate meat, wheat is a recent "discovery" and our bodies don't take it well...google it for more info

@LOLMAN22 Wait, how are we sabotaging out bodies? Omnivores seem to be ignorant when it comes to vegetarian and vegan nutrition. Seitan is full of protein, same with beans, lentils, nuts, seeds, and leafy greens. All contain iron. Nutritional yeast has B12 in it.

When they zoom in to the dog in the end i couldn't stop laughing.

OR!! You can just go to veganstore dot c o m like any sane person would and buy the veggie rib mix which only takes a moment to mix up you can have your veggie ribs done and ready to eat in about 20 mins. And they are damn delishous!!
-
@LOLMAN22 okay you are a load of horseshit. Now that we have made that abundantly clear please shove this post directly up your gaping ass.
-
@synthetickat Your on crack. Read the label. It's peanuts, oil and salt and the oil is always a vegetable oil.
-
Vegetarianism is a load of horse shit. I can't believe people are sabotaging their bodies because they feel bad for the animals ahahaaaaaaaahahahaa

Can I find these ingredients at vons or do I have to travel to one of those fancy grocery stores?

@xxYourLadyxx I don't think you are using pure vital wheat gluten. It can be confusing, as sometimes high gluten flours can be labeled similarly, but they are just wheat flour with a high gluten content. If you can find Vital wheat gluten, not gluten flour, that should work. The dough should not puff at all. I know here in the states it can be confusing too with this issue. There's sometimes even a difference between brands. I hope this helps! Good luck!

I use a normal gluten flour (seitan powder), but I don`t know if it`s made from whole grains, or just from wheat flour;
The problem is, when they turn out like a puff, they look like a huge roll with no content, in the inside is just nothing - like a ball ;)); So i can`t even cut them again, to make look like ribs and grill them;
I `ve ordered another gluten flour, it seems a bit different, I have to try out. Do you think it`s because of the different gluten? ( I live in germany)
-
@xxYourLadyxx Are you using Vital Wheat Gluten? If not, that could be the issue. Also, these have to be grilled first. Straight out of the oven they are not at all rib like.
-
Dear Suzan,
I`ve tried your recipe, but it didn`t turned out like ribs, just one BIG puff (as if I added much yeast in a dough). Do you know where I did the mistake? Would appreciate your advise.

you remind me Sandra Ballok :P

Im really not kidding when i say that is the exact same recipe that my homemade dog treat recipe book uses to make one of the types of biscuits. Just minus the BBQ sauce and grilling.

@synthetickat I don't know what brand of peanut butter you're buying, but I've never seen fish oil in peanut butter ever.
