This is a Tool Assisted Speedrun of Giana Sisters, a Super Mario clone. Unlike the previous 2 runs this was done entirely manually because I was unable to write a computer program to help me find fastest paths so it might be possible to improve this by a few seconds if trying hard enough.

By the way this cannot be compared directly to the Amiga version as game physics are different.

  • ok...maybe wrong place for answer but I have a question that I think many people wonder: What in the ******* **** is this. Did they do this first or did they do super mario brothers first? There are MANY games at Nintendo AND Commodore 64 looking the same - are very look like eachother (lol sorry for bad english).

Another example is rush and attack and some other game. Another example is meteroid and turricane - compare these games and you'll see what I talk about.

  • Super Mario Bros was done first. Due to the large similarities Giana Sisters was sued off the market by Nintendo.

  • mi sembra ieri quando lo giocavo....grazie per il video

  • if you dislike the game why did you play & post it on youtube?

  • @videomannen rush and attack on the NES and Green Beret for the C64? - Same Game different name.

turrican - not cane - has a totally different type of gameplay and Leveldesign than boring meteroid.

  • wow, echt krank, daumen hoch

  • There are 32 Levels in Giana Sisters, the same amount of Levels in Super Mario Bros. 8 Worlds Times Four Levels in each one equals 32 Levels.

  • i took me, and my father years to finish tis game :D

    mice run

  • @videomannen A reason that many games are similar is that Nintendo was a asshole when it came to

multiplatform games, a developer could not make games for the NES and another platform or they will be sued or may not make/sell games for the NES, this scared

developer's in america but not in Europe since the NES was doing horrible so a lot of C64 games usually

were renamed and given different graphics (for example Nebulus became Castelian on NES)

  • Hvordan kan det være en klon når det er et helt andet spil?

  • Good run, PERFECT!!!

  • @caemawred Actually there was a similar platform game called Hard'n'Heavy. I think the characters were boys...or somethink like that :)
