This is a great version of Northern Lites played at Glastonbury in 1999. It is a good example of the band's use of the alien brass section which augmented them live at the time. The band also had some stage props, giving it the same look as their 'Fire In My Heart' video.
When this song was played live at this stage, Cian actually played the steel drum live (as can be seen here). It was not sampled as many would assume.
Also, this is a version that is pretty faithful to the album / single version of the track. It is in sharp contrast to the 'Big Star / Teenage Fanclub' version played after 'Hey Venus' was released, and as exemplified a mere 8 years later at Glastonbury 2007 here:
