George Gao is the first erhu virtuoso who has transcribed "Carmen Fantasy", one the most popular violin virtuosic masterpiece composed by Sarasate based on themes of Bizet's opera "Carmen". This erhu transcription is hailed as a mile stone for erhu music and erhu technique, it is challenging every erhu players today.

brilliant! I'm in my 2nd year of learning erhu as a university course xD... this sounds awesome, but it'll take years to be able to play even a bit of it o.O;

haha but that's good ^^ I'm playing violin so I find those places pretty easily (almost the same to violin) but the technique is still pretty hard xD

No I don't sadly. there aren't many in the UK i don't think. I know the basics in theory so i should be okay at it. I already play guitar and piano so i hope i can pick it up easily enough. It's bloody difficult at first! :-)

no no but the swedish kr has the same value as Guang Zhou's yuan. 500 yuan/kr is about 77 USD
