Star Ocean 4 The Last Hope Final Boss Battle (Part 1/2)

Split into two parts because of Youtube's 10-minute limit. Part 1 I had to encode different than usual to keep it under Youtube's 1 GB limit, so it may look funny.

This boss has two parts. In the first part you have to eliminate the orbs that spin around in front of him. Until you do the rest of him is invulnerable, so Sight Out is kind of useless. The yellow orb causes a bunch of status effects so it was annoying in the beginning when I got Pumpkin'ed/Silenced, but I was able to get the yellow orb done first so that wasn't a problem later. Once all four orbs are gone he does a little 'rage' animation and then his whole body is now vulnerable, making the boss relatively straightforward from then on.

I finally used the good weapons I have available instead of my crappy early low ATK +80% EXP weapons. But I haven't done that much IC yet so I'm still probably a little on the underpowered side. Also, Bacchus's AI seems pretty bad. I had to change his AI to the most aggressive possible and it still looked like he stood around doing nothing half the time, even though he had plenty of MP.

Towards the end I saw how fast I was getting Rush gauge so I started spamming Rush comboes. I was trying to get Edge's "Defeat a Grigori with a Rush Combo" Arts Collection/Battle Trophy, but looks like I missed out on it by a little.

i like this game alot its just that voice acting and characters are way too cheezy :/

@PROTOgarrettv2 In my opinion, it's better to have Meracle, Sarah, Arumat and Myuria, because it's more balanced, and Myuria's just the sexiest beast who ever graced an RPG.

People keep bashin the voice acting...why?...i always found it 2 b ok...doesnt every game has SOME cheesy bits...i mean, im a big fan of final fantasy, but even in final fantasy 10 theres sum cheesy bits....dont get it honestly

@BroliTheHedgehog oh his actual health on the lowest diffulcty is 3,563,535 hp times that by 1.3 on galaxy, then by 1.7 on universe, then on chaos its twice that original form

and thats only for the boss itself NOT the orbs, the orbs each have 800,000 and again the hp is increased depending on diffulcty

longest final boss in gaming is a understatement
