Super Mario World - Tubular P Balloon Glitch

Super Mario World glitch.

To do this, hold ← and → down at the same time. As far as I know, this is only possible on the GBA SP, the original DS, and the SNES with a modified controller. You can move faster than is normally possible, and also go through solid blocks.

Has this been discovered before?

Left and right. That's why this only works on some systems; most don't allow you to hold both at the same time.
