A fun way to add uniqueness and character to your renderings is to use Blender's built-in Toon shaders. This setting makes your models look like they would feel at home in a Disney movie. It's quick, it's easy, and it's a lot of fun!

  • wow This was the most polished tutorila i've ever seen nice job!

  • @ragdoll433 Thanks! I appreciate it. I hate watching tutorials where the information is great but the presentation is terrible. I've seen far too many tutorials whose narrations have put me to sleep.

  • How can I let the toon shading show up in my game engine?

  • @RichardWeug There's a different (and more complicated) solution to that. If you look at the rest of the comments, there is one by Vegasmmofps that explains it. He said he was going to make a video tutorial, but I don't know if he ever got around to it.

  • I found the resolution on the tutorial to be far too low. Any chance of a hi-res version?

  • @kolban1 I'm afraid this was back in the days when I did everything on a little hp laptop, and it suffers from it. I've been working on some HD renders (like a new Plex and Scorch vid that I'm trying to have the time to finish), but I haven't planned to go back and redo anything so far. :/

  • @blank0000 2.5? I thought that was still in beta? Shows how out of the loop I am. I actually tested the beta about a year ago, and was impressedwith some things, like volumetrics, but the layout was so completely different that I couldn't use it. In other words, I have no idea. I'd look for you, but I'm using my phone to reply. If I find something out, I'll try to let you know.
