  • Nice catch of the Amtrak GP-40TC!

  • I wonder where the 1671 was going with the coil car on the Amtrak Line?

  • Oh cool, 1671! I ran that one a lot when working for CR. It was based out of Lansing, MI for a while.

  • NS needs to preserve some Conrail engines

  • That Amtrak is the Wolverine, train 351, amazingly it still keeps its symbol and name to this day. That detector at 482 is still there and still sounds the same.

  • Hot dang! This is the first video of #5508 (the trailing SD60M) I've ever caught. One of, if not my first rail fanning memories is of that unit with a UP SD40-2 and another SD60M in New Hampshire on a coal train. I was maybe 2 or 3 then.

  • I loved those monster TV trains that CR used to run, and you can't beat the thumping of those old GEs. Thanks for sharing.

  • Flashing ditchlights way back in 1994? I don't remember that...
