Qarl Linden has created a fantastic new feature: allowing touch events in LSL to retrieve the exact and precise point on a surface where the avatar is touching an object! This allows for extraordinary new developments. This is just a cute and simple example of a "3D button" that changes a prim's colour as the avatar smoothly moves across a primmed surface.

  • This is great, I've just tried it out :-)

  • Well-well! This'll certainly improve menu systems and the like. I immediately thought of the control panels in 'Star Trek'. Of course, buttons like that would mean defining surface area ranges, which already makes my head spin. :(

  • it looked like you were painting the cube. nice! can't wait to try!
