Finally some info on Ratan Bai ... Naushad says the Ratan Bai was Hafiz Ji's wife who was a director at Ranjit Studios in the 1930's. So she could not be the Ratan Bai who was Mrs Shilotri the mother of Nutan. Thank you for posting.

Many THXs for this wonderful posting ! Everyone knows "Aayega aanewala" as the song sung by Lata but what do people know of the one who made this fantastic tune?.. And that wasn't the only great tune made by him - and sung by Lata, eg:"Chunda ré" (Ziddi); "Mushqil hei bahut mushqil" (Mahal).... cf Tansen with K.L. Saigal and Khurshid...
