So, this is Pattie Boyd, the woman that Eric Clapton lost his mind over, hah? I get it, and I can't say that I blame him either! It took a ballsy son of a bitch to roll the dice and tell someone else's wife that you were madly in love with her! He had nothing to lose, he went for it, and it eventually paid off for him too...and George attended the wedding to boot!

Pity Pattie didn't stay with George, despite all the relationship confusion. I think it must be very hard for Pattie to talk about her life; perhaps it is therapeutic for her to do so or she does it out of a sense of duty or responsibility to others so that they can learn from her mistakes, given the amount and level of her fame. I doubt she told the entire true story of her life in her book. First off, publishers and editors decide what goes into or comes out of a book - to make them money.

I don't agree with everyone else. George and Eric were smart guys, if she was just using them I think they'd been able to tell. I read her biography and it was absolutely lovely and I think she was a beautiful and smart person. About 10 years of marriage each, just to use someone for publicity? I think that's rather far-fetched.

I read Clapton's autobiography and I'm nearly finished with Patti's.....the only conclusion I can come to is they were all nutjobs that lived lives that required very little personal responsibility. Most people can't relate most certainly not me. It makes a good story though.

Oh stop it! If you read some books you will know that they were good friends..and George was having affairs too. Those were the 60s..70s..and everything went!!!!
