How to Make a Tiger out of FIMO (polymer clay - sculpey, etc)

All this content is made by me. The tiger was made and turned out to be one of the best, I've made enough to know roughly what I need to do now.

The music track was put togeher by me in 2004 (it's very basic and needs some post production help) - but it's mine!

Cat made on the 5th of September 2009

  • wow very cute LOOOOOOVVVVVVEEEEE the stripes. I love working with plastacine myself! but i'd love to give this stuff ago! The colours go great together! You are a great artist and look forward to seeing the rest of your work! P.S does this polymer clay set hrd or stay soft like plastacine????????? and can you get it from most art shops or...????? thanks!

  • @KEMPYART95 Thanks for the kind comments. Fimo or sculpey sets hard when you bake it and is available in most art shops. I would test a few pieces out first before you bake a masterpiece as it's possible to burn the clay if you're not careful.

I think that's more from me not checking the temperature of the oven though.. Let me know if you need any more advice

  • I found your tiger on craftgossip. Amazing work. Thank you for sharing. Your music is awesome, too :)

  • Thank you :D

You're the first person who's come from that link I submitted a little while ago - how cool.

Glad you like it, I've made a few of them, some you can see in my other video:

  • You should refine the music, it has great potential.

  • thats sooo cute

  • The video is kinda fast...... But really good!

  • Oh...did you use some sort of wire frame to support the cat?

I'm trying to lean to make a cat figurine...but so far, all the videos I've watched have had their clay rolled up into separate shapes before sticking them together. I like how you made your tiger's body smooth and sinuous. Any tips?

  • It can't be called a "How To" unless you actually show us "How To" in REAL TIME!

  • Felicitaciones por el video y tambien por ese precioso gato! Excelente, muchas gracias y siga publicando este tipo de videos.

  • THIS IS EPIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • after when your done you should make a animation!

  • it looks more like a robo cat from 2050 or something but it is awesome

  • @chipko THANK YOU youhave been very helpfull to me!!!!!!! THANX
