Sorry to keep asking stupid questions, but you always keep silent! I'm now wondering how a sod compares to a log, for heat production? On the internet, one supplier of logs said it worked out at 22p (GBP) per log. Seems a lot to me, as a nice seasoned oak log will burn out in half an hour!

@Makemyday0126 sorry the machine I was on about was a video I failed to upload, not the one in the video, I seen a home made one on it, but this was a one made by DIFCO in the North. Cheer;'s, I imagine converting a Mini digger is an expensive enough base unit to start with, they are savage money in any kind of average condition.

@Makemyday0126 over in mayo ? god no i wouldnt think a adj would be abig deal only that machine i dunno the 3 pt would be quicker for filling . that machine cost alot more than the done deal job but is better made its as the owner said 90% perfect if the seat was rear mounted ud have 100% vision

not a problem alan small fertilizer size bags of turf like in the film sells for between 3.50 & 5 euro or 2.93- 4.18 gbp deponds on seller !!! its very similar to firewood logs here but cleaner to burn in the chimney

@balmesh the machine scoops and breaks up the turf which has already a skin of approx 2 - 3 weeks into sections and exposes the bottom to dry . this is repeated til the sods are bone dry as they are shed stored and wont burn if not seasoned same principal as timber really

i doubt its better than what i have up. 1. u wont have a sore neck after. 2. its not as noisy and 3. it will take up twice as much what this one does. would u not agree??

@cred2010able hard to judge the vid is too short but wider intake means bigger output obviously did you see the other collecter/harvester ive up too ?
