Armed Citizen - Dallas, Texas

In the wee hours of January 30, 2008, Christopher Wade walked into a convenience store and threatened the clerk with a handgun. The clerk picked up the store's handgun and fired on the would-be robber, sending him fleeing. Police arrested Wade at a nearby hospital, and will charge him with aggravated robbery. The clerk will not be charged.

Not in Texas. The law states that if a person is justified in use of deadly force, and use force in response to the incident then they are not to be held liable in civil suits.

If this had happened in Cali the robber would have killed the store clerk for $30 bucks and been awarded Man of the Year.. but not in Texas....

I'm thinking on moving to Texas where I law abiding citizens can use deadly force to defend themselves. I'm from Wa state, so I have to be careful on how I defend mine and my family lives. I would hate to loose a trial against a crook who tried to kill me. It happens here in this state.
