--WWE is changing the name of some of the PPVs this year. The new November name has not been announced but here are the name changes:
The late April PPV formerly known as Backlash will now be Extreme Rules 4/25 in Baltimore
The late May PPV formerly known as Judgment Day will now be Wild Card, which is likely an offshoot of the spin the wheel Vegas Raw shows 5/23 in Detroit
The early June PPV formerly known as Extreme Rules and One Night Stand will be no longer
The late June PPV formerly known as The Bash will now be Fatal Four Way 6/20
The July PPV formerly known as Night of Champions will now be Money in the Bank 7/18
The September PPV formerly known as Breaking Point will now be Night of Champions 9/19 in Chicago

--We'll know on Monday most likely what that means regarding Money in the Bank at WrestleMania as they were scheduled to start qualifying matches for the Mania match on Monday's Raw. It doesn't make sense to do Money in the Bank in April as a low card attraction and then headline a July PPV with the same match.

  • World Wrestling FEDERATION is better than World Wrestling ENTERTAINMENT.

    Where's the blood?

    Where's the realism?

Where's the Bra & Panties match?!

    STUPID PG

  • Raw has better ratings than SmackDown!, so you really don't know what you're talking about. Secondly, TNA focuses more on entertainment than wrestling. That's Vince Russo's philosophy, in case you didn't know. Finally, a wrestling show with just wrestling would never work. There needs to be a back story, a reason why the guys are wrestling each other. TNA won't be successful against Raw; they're nowhere near ready. I'd rather watch Hornswoggle than the Nasty Boys.

now its not even World Wrestling Entertainment inc. its just WWE inc. which means nothing now. i hope we will look back on when the next name change comes and say damn WWE was better then World Wrestling Entertainment after 2004 or maybe we will say that wrestling still never got a return to the glory it once was maybe a new era not the attitude era because right now without edge WWE has no chance of making that good

  • these new names i don't like them. now its no longer World Wrestling Entertainment inc. its just WWE inc. i wish we could have the cool names and no orphan initials.

  • from what i understand, they plan on having MITB at both Wrestlemania AND as its own seperate PPV going forward

  • get the old ones back! lol

  • These new PPV names SUCK . I cannot believe how lazy the WWE's creative team has become, the PPV's can't even get unique names half of them are just names of matches .. & then the other ones just have really stupid names , Bragging Rights, Over The Limit ... fuck those are the only two with names that aren't matches ! -______-

  • thats the sickest intro ever.

  • if they goin 2 make a ppv about matches they should bring back king of the ring also they should make a pay per view day of reckoning
