I believe the man in the striped top is Rod McLennan. Saw Daly many times whilst tenpin bowling at Southern Cross Hotel in the 1960s - as far as I'm concerned it's not him.
Ian Turpie doing "what'd I say" on Bandstand. He later replaced Johnnie O'keefe as host on"Sing,Sing, Sing" after one of J.O.K's breakdowns. O'Keefe used to do this song too.
Delo and Daly (USA) were a very popular comedy duo in Melbourne and were even given their own TV show here in the early 60's. They returned to the US and Daly later appeared in few US TV sitcoms.
GOOD OL TURPS... THE GUY IN THE BLACK SUIT BEHIND HIM IS JIMMY TAYLOR ,,THIS IS ABOUT 1960..IT WAS A JUNIOR BANDSTAND SHOW.... TAYLOR PLAYED "THE NUT ROCKER".........ON PIANO......MEMORIES
