A raspberry coulis has fantastic taste and is really easy to make. For more information and other great recipes, visit www.cookeryskills.com

  • Hi - thanks for the question. We have used arrowroot because it is clear - you could use cornflour mixed with a little bit of water as a last resort but this is cloudier.

  • is arrowroot the only thickener that can be used in a coulis? or is it just the preferred one?

  • Yes - this should be possible! Why not give it a try and see how it goes! You may want to check the sweetness of this as the cherries may be sweeter in taste due to the syrup in the tin. Let me know how you get on!

  • Could i make a Blackcherry coulis using tinned cherries the same way as this method do you know?? Thanks.
