Wow, why is everyone so negative on this just because he mentioned aliens? All he was looking for was an example of something that'd mobilize the entire world at one big shot. Would an asteroid hit have been better? I don't agree with his "spend and spend" and all will be fine theory. But his 'example' isn't stupid or weird. It's just an example.

The best way to discredit Keynesianism is to just listen to the Keynesians

But then again, Socialists would LOVE Keynesian economics. It's all about getting money flowing. IE distributing wealth evenly and not letting it "pool" anywhere. Digging ditches and filling them in again, bridges to nowhere, and broken windows, all get money flowing out of the hands of savers and rich people and circulating around.

Meanwhile you're shutting down creation of real wealth, taking society down as you spread the wealth around. Crushing the producers on the way. Just what they want.

Even the point he was trying to make was dumb. IE, war spending makes us wealthy.

Really? So once you've blown up all those bombs and missiles you produced, what do you have to show for all the money and wealth spent? Nothing. All of the effort going into producing for war could have gone into producing food, clothes, and other things of actual value to human beings living their lives.

He thinks digging ditches and filling them in again is good because then people are "employed".

I think Hitler was right... jews are the stupidest group of people in the world.

Two jewish goblins and a middle-eastern mongoloid advocating ditch-digging and alien warfare to stimulate the economy... fuck you, CNN.

Sad thing, most Obama supporters think that "Keynesians" refers to his ethnic background.

He's chosens a silly way of describing a silly theory. The classic, old wey wasto state that someone running around town breaking windows was great fro the economy, because then people would buy new glass, stimulating the economy. That was silly; Krugman has amanged to advanvance the silliness to new levels.
