  • You could get one of those bike tire generators to run a light on that thing easily.

  • If you replace the wheel with the one that has internal dynamo, you will have 3V DC of electricity to power up your battery charger.

  • Tire for flywheel.  Make the power constant and stable.

  • @emmanouil1980 Thats a fail reasoning. lulz. More weight just makes it more difficult to 'start' and 'turn off'. But nevertheless, it shouldn't change the amount of energy caught from the wind in an ideal scenario. It may increase the friction on the axel a bit, which may cause more loss of energy in the form of heat. Archimedes principle if applied, just means you need longer spokes so the turning effect is greater, not more weight at same length.
