Keynote Speaker: Rubin Carter - "The Hurricane"

The life of Rubin "Hurricane" Carter has taken more twists and turns than a Rocky Mountain highway, from obscurity to acclaim and back again - and again. Wrongfully arrested and convicted for triple murder, the former professional boxer was sentenced to three life terms, narrowly escaping the electric chair. He became a civil-rights cause célèbre and was immortalized in the Bob Dylan song and later in the Norman Jewison movie Hurricane. In February 1988, the 22-year old indictment was finally dismissed. His presentations inspire audiences to never give up on their dreams, to go the distance, and to persevere no matter what obstacles they may face.

Rasist is like AIDS...it never goes way. I've done research on Dr. Carter and all the evidence points to the state of new jersey. I thought new york city was bad we got nothing on new jersey. I've been to Paterson, New Jersey once to see girl. I'll probably never go back their again. Dr. Carter was proofing innocent you assholes got 22 years of his life what more to you want.

@Lynsey38025Part2 exactly we don't know if he is innocent or not the crime scene now 45 years old is more than twice my age. though from the weight of evidence i say there is an 80% chance he was guilty, just as oj i say it is 90% chance he in fact killed and 99% chance he was somehow involved, just as casey anthony there is 10% chance she is innocent, 10% chance it was murder and 80% chance negligence. though he got paroled and i don't have anything against paroling those on good behaviour.
