  • Thomas Jefferson didn't pick Aaron Burr as the VP. They ran against each other for president, and, back then, the person who came in 2nd in the electoral college became VP. "When the electoral college deadlocked in the election of 1800, Hamilton's maneuvering in the House of Representatives caused Thomas Jefferson to be named president and Burr vice-president." - Wikipedia. That was one of the major sources of conflict between the two.

  • @lxUn1c0 Thanks, I forgot about that.

  • Nice videos of Ron Paul and Thomas Jefferson (both parts 1 and 2). One question though: When creating these videos, was it or is it possible to make Ron Paul's voice sound like the real Ron Paul's?

  • @DJSedSo No, not with this program. There is only one American male voice, so I have to use a Brit or a female character for differentiation. Kinda sucks.

  • This continent wasn't vacant either. We just killed most of its natives and who we didn't kill we put on reservations...because hey, we are all about personal liberty. And if you think Geithner is a hypocrite. Well at least he didn't write a document glorifying freedom and equality all while owning hundreds of slaves. Now that's hypocritical!

And I was waiting forever for TJ to break out with "I'm not yo daddy I'm yo grandpa" and he never did. I disappoint now :(

  • @jambog82 Point taken.

  • I disagree: Michele Bachmann is for people who find Palin 'too intellectual.'

  • People were made to be free. Freedom will not create a perfect world. Just the best possible world. Freedom is the solution to the human condition. Ron Paul is the ONLY candidate who understands this. ALL the others tell you that if you give them power(that is, give up your power/freedom) they will fix all life’s problems for you. Which makes them either fools or power hungry liars.

  • Will you make another one of these?

  • "Just select a vice president that is good with guns and have him shoot the secretary of treasury. That is what I did."

    "Yeah, but she is retarded."

"If that happens, please do what Iceland did, and say: F the bank, we are not gonna pay it. Then, build some ships, move to another continent, and start your own government, based on personal liberties. That is what we did." *fist pump*

    LOLOLOLOL @ all these

  • @jambog82 You have the luxurious perspective of comfortable hindsight. The period of history when the new world was being settled was difficult. The attitudes were much different, and social evolution hadn't endowed such a sensitivity to racism. They were considered savages due to cultural developments incongruent with christianity, some europeans spent time converting, others concentrated efforts on conquering. The concept and understanding of liberty is continuously evolving...

  • @jambog82 Yes, some change is good of course and there is constructive criticism. That's not achieved by throwing all the settlers/colonists under the "greedy racist" bus, which is factually untrue. Much of the settlers were pacifist seeking religious freedom and never advanced beyond the land they peacefully obtained. Much of the rest of the land was purchased or traded, and to portray the natives as peaceful victims is a half-truth at best. History records transgressions on both sides.

  • @kimberHD45 ....cont from below…Yes, good was EVENTUALLY achieved (for the most part). But that good and liberty could have, and should have been achieved through compromise and tolerance instead of greed and racism.

  • @kimberHD45 cont from below…In fact to this day tribes still have some degree of sovereignty by federal law because they are perfectly capable of governing themselves. But ultimately they were forced to move west because of the greed for more land and more production. Progress is certainly not a bad thing, but when you put progress ahead of the lives of other human beings because they aren’t the same race as you, then that is tyranny. ....

  • @kimberHD45 Criticism is necessary for new ideas to change and form. What if nobody criticized slavery? Well, we would probably still have slaves. I’m not saying all criticism is good, but if there was none it would be a dull and unchanging world. And aren’t you criticizing me by calling me cowardly and lazy for my criticism? Natives here seemed to be doing fine with their tribal politics before the Europeans came.

  • @jambog82 Criticism is the art of the coward and lazy. This continent was vacant, in the sense there was a power vacuum. The fate of the indians was horrible and unfortunate, but bound to happen regardless, and the world is fortunate that liberty found it's footing here where it did. Imagine the world scene if a seed of tyranny was established. It is because of this nation, especially the opportunities eventually afforded to everyone, that much more good has been achieved and advances made.

  • @jambog82 You make some excellent points(nothing new though). These were flawed men as we are all obviously, but the documents they created are without equal. The ideals and values are for all people at all times everywhere, even though many of them did not live up to them personally.
