  • Why would oil companies support research into renewable energy sources when they are making money, hand over fist, on highly profitable products which won't be profitable (at all) if we have "free" energy-- solar, wind, hydroelectric/micro hydro, biomass and biofuels-- propelling us into a future where petroleum products will be extinct?

    They won't.

  • Educated Americans know that the media hype and rhetoric surrounding Big Oil is just a bunch of hot air designed to distract the general public from what's really going on.

The world is NOT running out of oil; and won't be anytime, soon.

Oil companies have manipulated regulatory processes to create artificial shortages and limit competition.

Additionally, they are systematically using fear and lies to drive up prices, and in the process amassing obscene amounts of wealth.
