Yamaha decided to stuff the venerable R1 mill into a mostly naked, rider-friendly streetbike called the FZ1 back in 2001 and it has been an overdressed staple of the streetfighter scene ever since. Read the full test at www.motorcycle-usa.com

  • Both reviewers said how it didn't do good on the track. That's why it's a Street Fighter. If you want a track bike make it an R1 or an R6.

  • 1) Remove the peg-feelers

    2) Remove centerstand.

    3) Change stock exchaust

    4) Use SV650 risers and chop handlebar 3cm.

    5) Upgrade rear suspension.

No more scrapping, alot lower position. Great chassis, great power, great race bike. The best? No.. Competitive? Sure!

  • @dkparamore1 i saw the same thing

  • the faired FZ1 is by far the best sport/touring motorcycle you can buy... Definitely a great value, you will get a lot more than what you pay for. I've got mine since february 2009 and if someday i sell mine I'm sure I would get another FZ1...

-Offtopic: this guys needs another pair of glasses-
