After a protracted and turbulent prologue, the proverbial cat is finally out of the bag in the Mau Forest controversy. Prime Minister Raila Odinga dropped the bombshell on Wednesday afternoon when he tabled a list of high profile and influential personalities that benefited from forest land allocations. The list includes former Baringo Central Member of Parliament Gideon Moi and two members of parliament who held key positions in the administration of former President Daniel Arap Moi. Raila tabled the list after boldly taking on a section of Rift Valley MPs telling the MPs that he is ready to pay the political price over the conservation of Mau Forest. NTVs Rashid Ronald reports from Parliament.

  • nobody is moving out of mau , we dont want even the money we love the place

  • Why are Mps So ugly all of them..

Look at them.. are they kenyan?

    They might be aliens

  • here comes the real RAO. kenyans in the name of "my constituents" have been stepped on by these greedy looters for long. mau is a matter of existence , millions of lives depend on these rivers in the rift down to western through to nyanza. We are not going to compromise other peoples right to live by denying the basic needs like water for some few rich goons. kenyans rice up against these individuals.

  • the bigger the grass the bigger the tools if it means shaming and naming those implicated in the mau scandal to save the mau water catchment then so be it

  • the moi regime was bullsh1t. moi and his children and those R.V mps issac ruto and kotuny better come to their senses that is if they have any, kenya is bigger than them.

kudos bwana P.M usitishwe na chura maji!

  • This is the Raila Odinga that I want to see!!!!!!!!

  • Leadership at its best. I still need more evidence to afford this guy some credit that can translate to a vote, but this is a step in the right direction. It's never too late to turn the tide Raila, and even though a lot of Kenyans voted for you just to realise your party had pre-planned PEV, we are still yet to see a true leadership in the current arrangement. I'd urge you to keep up and diss your cronnies and show them the way to hague. That too will be in the interest of Kenyans.

  • @Siasabora. Infact they should stop talking about the Kalenjin. If it was a Kalenjin issue, why are most of the Kalenjin MPs not involved?

  • A ray of light in the Kenyan government? could it be? can we see jail time too and not just stepping aside. That is the least we can do in a country where poor people so full of life get murdered for petty crimes.

  • ok brother agwambo tanajua ya kua huko mwe upe ka pamba toboa ziri na uta kwa huru , please help the of kenya and dont mind abuot this people who just want only for themsaleves bure kabisa.
