ichi didnt kill kakihara or the kid. When Jiiri (Jiiro?) finds Kakihara's body later, the wound infiicted by Ichi on his head is gone. Kakihara hallucinated his murder when he jumped to his own death, because he realized no one will ever be able to give him satisfaction of pain and ultimately death. Also at the very end, you see Jiiri's body hanging from a tree, with a guy that looks very much like an older Takeshi (the kid who was kicking ichi). great film and review besides that though
