LARA LARA LARA SO LUCKY TO BORN IN LARA's ERA THIS WAZ A HELL OF MATCH I REMEMBER THE MATCH WAZ STARTED AT 3.am our local time n i got up early to watch the match live n west indies waz struggling n when 10 ovrs left n 90 waz needed wid five wickets remaining my friend called me n said now even lara cant do anything n i replied the match is not over yet n right after that the magic of lara begins truely he is unbelievable.,,,,PRINCE OF CRICKET!!

Pretty decent game,this one and a more than decent Lara knock.

Mr Benaud said at the time "one of the best one day games i've seen."

If i recall correctly, this game broke the record at the time for the highest successful runchase at the WACA.

i remember he struggled a lot the extra pace and bounce of waca. but lara being lara cashed big time when pace went off the ball. genius.

I just found this. I was at this game I remember the two sixes Lara hit off Fatty Warne. When we were leaving the ground some of the Australian fans in front of us were calling out "bowling Warnie" in the same voice Ian Healy used to use. Awesome game. Its a pitty what has happened to West Indies cricket.
