Man I wish TAS videos didn't make players look like idiots for not figuring out stuff sometimes. I'm looking at you coinblock ceiling...
Very nice TAS video, liked the shell jump and the timing on the jumps. Also liked the pause trick at the end, didn't know about that one.

Not really, because playing a level blind is a hell of alot harder then playing a level you've memorized.

wow it looks so fast when you speed it up like that
although not the true time, you can find out how fast it really was by subtracting the end time from the original time

A TAS is a Tool Assisted Speed Run, as in he used Save States until he finally did it perfectly. He put a Save State at the beginning and every time he screwed up, he could start from the beginning again without having to use any lives. Therefore, it would be a lie to not call it a TAS.
